About

So what do you do here?

Like the name says, we got started designing and building electronic measuring instruments. We specialized in PC-connected counters that used an RS232 interface to connect to the PC. This was perfect for someone who needed to get real-world data into software running on a PC.

Then one day a request for a custom counter came in. This client, a large Fortune-500 corporation, wanted to build automated fueling systems for their fleet of trucks. This got us building totalizers that read fuel flowmeters. More importantly, we realized that there was a need for specialty customized counters and we were able to build a wide variety of that type of equipment. From counters that pretended to be a keyboard so they could paste text directly into Microsoft Excel, to add-ons for fatigue testing equipment, we did it all.

Now, we’ve branched out into “somewhat unusual” customized controllers. What that means is that we don’t specialize in the standard industrial control that PLCs are so well suited for. We do the unusual stuff that larger outfits won’t touch!
